The Orbitur Costa Da Caparica camping park is only 20 km south of Lisbon, the Portuguese capital, and only 200 m from the beach. This family holiday is therefore an ideal stay to combine a city break in Lisbon with the beach. On the camping park there's numerous entertainment activities available including a multi-sports ground where football and tennis can be played, table tennis and a children's play area. Just a few minutes walk from the campsite down the path you'll find a sandy beach and the ocean where you can sunbathe or surf. On site there's also a restaurant, bar and a small supermarket. The campsite is located in Costa da Caparica which is a lively, modern seaside resort in itself famous for its wonderful sandy beaches and where you'll find plenty of Portuguese restaurants and activities. Only 12 miles from Lisbon, this camping park is a perfect base for visiting Portugal's capital, Lisbon which opens up lively night life options. Other nearby places worth visiting include Sesimbra (35 km), a seaside resort famed for its beaches, and Setubal (45 km), a fortified port town full of charm in the old district.

The Valado camping park is a delightful 3 star holiday park on the Atlantic Ocean half way down Portugal, 120 km north of Lisbon. The holiday park boasts a peaceful setting and lies just 2 km from Nazaré, one of the most popular seaside resorts on the Silver Coast, locally know as the Costa de Prata. Nazaré has huge sandy beaches and the Atlantic waves can also be pretty huge. In fact, very high breaking waves have been recorded in Nazaré which have made the Guinness World Records which is why this charming town is becoming increasingly popular as a Surfing destination with annual surfing competitions. The campsite provides a good range of facilities with plenty of entertainment and themed evenings in season. Activities include an outdoor swimming pool, tennis, ping pong and nearby horse riding as well as surfing schools. On site you'll find a bar, a restaurant and a mini-supermarket. Seafood is of course plentiful the local fish specialty is "caldeiradas". A must see in the area is the Monastery of Alcobaça, a UNESCO World Heritage site just a few kilometers from Nazaré.

The camping park sits on the beach facing the Atlantic ocean. The camping park offers comfortable, spacious, air-conditioned holiday mobile homes and static caravans for rent with terraces and well-equipped kitchenettes. As well as a small supermarket there's a bar and a restaurant on a terrace with a view of the pool. Near the campsite is Matosinhos, a port town with a huge stretch of sandy beach where you can take up a wide range of water sports and enjoy the many fish restaurants. Porto being only 5 miles away you can ride the metro into the city and enjoy all that Porto has to offer.
